Born in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, 1981.
Martine seeks to capture the quiet beauty and essence of the land. Her photographs carry a sense of calm and peace as she explores how remembering places feels like.
She completed her studies in saxophone at Conservatoire de musique de Québec before achieving a bachelor's degree in business Canada and France that propelled her into the world of communications where she developed a critical eye vis-a-vis the image and the message. Photography is a natural continuation.
Throughout her practice, she has developed a rigorous approach to photography, inspired by the Quebec winter landscapes of her childhood as well as works by artists: Rita Letendre, Jean-Paul Lemieux, Bernd and Hilla Becher.
Martine lives and creates in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
